Dr. Tillett will be presenting at NAEMSP as part of the new speaker competition in regard to his study evaluating the prehospital breaking bad news curriculum. This study evaluated over 400 EMS clinicians who went through the Breaking Bad News curriculum as part of their spring continuing education. Participants were evaluated before and after the course to see if they had improved confidence around the topics covered. The study demonstrated EMS clinicians showed statistically significant increases in self-reported confidence across all fields measured, ranging from breaking bad news to a family to dealing with a pediatric family during a cardiac arrest. This presentation covers the same course that will be offered on the FRBHI website.
